Pub and Hotel Refurbishment-Will Sheldon- Contemporary Pubs Ltd
"We initially instructed Charlie and his team at CM Carpentry and Building Ltd to carry out the strip-out works on our latest project, The King’s Head in Wye. Having seen the quality of their work and their professional approach, we soon offered CM Carpentry the opportunity to tender for the £1 million refurbishment and restoration of the pub. Having successfully won the tender, Charlie and his team got to work and worked tirelessly for six months through to completion and handover. The project was completed just one week behind schedule, which, given the scale and complexity of the works, was an excellent result. We were delighted with both the timing and most importantly the finished product. Charlie was a pleasure to work with throughout. Not only did he manage the site exceptionally well, but he also handled the relationship with the local community brilliantly. We had numerous comments from villagers about how courteous, respectful and considerate the team were during the project. We would have no hesitation in recommending CM Carpentry and Building Ltd and will certainly be using them again on future projects. That is, if we can manage to fit into their busy schedule!"
Full house Rebuild & Extensive External works-Jo & Stephen Craig
CM Carpentry has carried out a vast array of work at our home, from completely rebuilding our property from the ground up to the additional work they continue to do for us today. The quality of their workmanship is second to none, and we would highly recommend CM Carpentry to anyone looking for a tradesman they can genuinely trust. Our entire house was rebuilt in just nine months, and throughout the whole project, no corners were cut. The attention to detail, craftsmanship and pride taken in every aspect of the work was exceptional. What speaks volumes about the quality and reliability of CM Carpentry is that, 14 years later, we are still using them for additional work at our home. We simply cannot fault their workmanship, professionalism or attention to detail. We would have no hesitation in recommending CM Carpentry to anyone looking for high-quality workmanship from someone they can rely on and trust.
Extensions and New Build-Paul and Nikki Gordon
We have used CM Carpentry for numerous projects over the years, particularly on our Grade II listed home, and the standard of work has always been exceptional. Charlie has completed everything from smaller projects, including bespoke garden tables, benches and raised beds, through to a fully fitted home office and a purpose-built golf simulator building incorporating traditional flint and blockwork with a slate roof. Most notably, he completed a full extension to our Grade II listed house, incorporating beautiful exposed oak beams. His attention to detail and understanding of heritage properties is outstanding — the extension fits so seamlessly with the original house that it feels as though it has always been there. Charlie’s workmanship is impeccable. He is tidy, reliable and takes enormous pride in every detail. He can also manage an entire project from the initial groundwork right through to the final fix, which makes the whole process incredibly straightforward. We genuinely wouldn’t use another carpenter or builder. The quality of his work is exceptional, and we cannot recommend CM Carpentry highly enough.
